In my opinion yours is a great website. As a brazilian, now
in my late sixties, I´ve always had a strong admiration for
everything liverpoodlian. From my teens when I was a guide
on board Brtish ships on the manaus run.Carry on, please!

JOHN, Sonia sent me. Actually John I have made several copies
of some of your stories to send to my son. He was born in Liverpool
in 1956. Although he has been back several times he insists
he is a TRUE SCOUSER. I love your site and so happy to have
you back. I will definitely buy your book. [and one for my
son] haha!! Good luck Lily

Great to see the guestbook back, It is a shame
that a few gutless wonders spoiled the last one for all the
people who enjoyed it. Good luck with this one John.

John, I stumbled across your website whilst
looking up some stuff on Tonik material for a suit I'm getting
made. I creased up on reading your piece "A dedicated follower
of fashion" - its an excellent piece of writing. This, of course,
is the problem with the Internet -there's so much #at*%!e on
it that it really is a pleasure to find something that is humorous,
insightful and properly written. I've had a very quick delve
into some of your other pieces too but I'm waiting for a quiet
moment when I can enjoy them at my leisure. I've never been
to Liverpool but I'm working-class London so I hope you don't
mind me saying that I think I can understand a little of where
you're coming from. Regards Des

I'm the Mike Speakman from the "wrong arm
of the law." I've only just found this web site. It is full
of memories for me and really captures the spirit of Liverpool
from the 1960s till I left in 1995.
